Who We Are

iCan Fly is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting Asian families in Massachusetts raising neurodiverse children.

About iCan Fly

iCan Fly’s goal is to empower parents through specialized learning, counseling, support groups and advocacy services that promote positive development for neurodiverse children.

To achieve this mission, iCan Fly fosters a supportive environment where individuals with disabilities connect, share experiences, and access emotional support and disability-related resources.

Strengthening Communities

Through advocacy efforts, we raise awareness of issues faced by people with disabilities, advocating for inclusive policies and increased accessibility.

Additionally, we offer workshops and webinars to educate parents and caregivers of family members with disabilities.

To enhance socialization and well-being, we organize recreational activities and events, allowing individuals with disabilities to connect and enjoy fun in a supportive and inclusive setting.

iCan Fly is committed to creating positive outcomes for families and individuals with disabilities while promoting societal inclusivity.

Our Story

“iCan Fly is a non-profit organization co-founded by three mothers of autistic children in Massachusetts. As parents of children with autism, we understand the challenges and difficulties of raising a child with special needs, as well as the support and resources families like ours need. That's why we decided to form an organization to provide support and assistance to children and families with special needs.”

Buddyship Program

Starting in summer of 2024, iCan Fly will host weekly activities such as hiking, soccer, tennis, basketball, and dancing for participants in the Buddyship Program. This initiative fosters one-on-one friendships between individuals with and without special needs.

Buddies, aged 14-18, offer social and recreational support to those in need. Through these connections, participants with special needs build self-confidence, enhance social skills, and enjoy engaging activities together. Buddies also gain valuable leadership and volunteer experience, while developing a deeper understanding of the special needs community.
